The classic animated Hanna-Barbera cartoon Tom and Jerry have a new comedy headed to the big screen. Watch the trailer now!

Tom and Jerry have been causing shenanigans with their rivalry for nearly 80 years and now the famous cat and mouse have a new feature headed to the big screen starring alongside Chloë Grace Moretz.

The Official Trailer

The new trailer has Tom and Jerry making amends with their rivalry. Jerry moves to a luxurious New York hotel where a promising employee Kayla, played by Moretz needs to evict the tiny mouse. Hiring Tom to help kick the mouse out leads to reckless high jinks.

The movie has some other major co-stars like Michael Peña, Colin Jost and Ken Jeong while the new highly anticipated animated/live-action is directed by Tim Story who previously directed comedy movies like Barbershop (2002), Taxi (2004), Fantastic Four (2005), and Think Like a Man (2012). Warner Brothers has plans to release the feature on March 5, 2021.

Previous Film

This isn't the first major movie Tom and Jerry have appeared in. The duo also starred in the 1992 Tom & Jerry: The Movie. The story is about the duo teaming up to help an orphan girl who is being mistreated and exploited by her greedy and evil aunt. The movie was panned by critics including Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert who awarded the film "Two Thumbs Down" and was a major fail at the box office. Here's to hoping their next big feature is a success!

Watch the Cartoon Now!

It's not too late to catch up on the silly antics the cat and mouse have gone through. Take a stroll down memory lane with some of the old cartoons while newer episodes of the rival series can be seen on Boomerang, as The Tom & Jerry Show.

Until March, here's to hoping theaters will be open when this family comedy will be released.
