The Biggest Names in Stardom Come to Vegas for UFC

Addison Rae

Drake, Jared Leto, Justin Bieber, and dozens of other celebrities descended on Vegas last weekend. Here's why.

In the past few days, Las Vegas has been completely flooded with celebrities. It seems like most of Hollywood has come north in order to see the Ultimate Fighting Championship's latest event, as well as to attend the grand opening of the exclusive Delilah supper club.

Justin Bieber

At the Delilah grand opening, singer Justin Bieber made a surprise appearance and performed an eight-song set. He then surprised the audience again by bringing out Australian rapper Kid Laroi, who joined him in a performance of their new song, "Stay".

Jared Leto

Actor Jared Leto attended the UFC event to support mixed martial artist Sean O'Malley, who went on to win his bout against Kris Moutinho. However, this was overshadowed by Leto's unique choice of wardrobe, inspired a series of memes on social media.

It's Always Sunny with Kit Harrington

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia stars Rob McElhenney, Glenn Howerton and Kaitlin Olson were also present for the fight, alongside Kit Harrington of Game of Thrones fame. The two shows have long been informally linked thanks to McElhenney's friendship with GoT creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss.

Dave Chappelle and Drake

At Delilah, comedian Dave Chappelle and rapper Drake reaffirmed their decade-long friendship with a few photos before Chappelle went on to an appearance alongside Joe Rogan. Chappelle has been performing in Vegas for several weeks.

Addison Rae

Twitter

20-year-old TikTok star Addison Rae also made an appearance at UFC, where she took photos in front of a red carpet banner and joked about her short tenure as a sports journalism student at Louisiana State University. Though unconfirmed, it seemed as though she was working as a reporter for UFC, which prompted backlash on social media from the sports journalism community due to Rae's lack of qualifications for the position.

Tragically, the headline event that most of these celebrities came to Vegas for, the UFC match between Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor, ultimately came to an abrupt end. Audiences who expected a long, zesty battle were left unsatisfied when after one round, Poirier won by TKO after McGregor's leg was seemingly damaged by a checked kick.
