Disney Channel Premieres A Captivating New Film: 'Upside-Down Magic'

Disney Channel Premieres A Captivating New Film: 'Upside-Down Magic' | Celebrity Page

Ricky Cornish is chatting with Izabela Rose and Siena Agudong from Disney Channel's new original movie.

'Upside-Down Magic'

Just like Camp Rock, High School Musical, and Smart House are etched into the minds of the previous generation of Disney Channel fans, the next Disney original movie is airing this week.

Set at Sage Academy, the movie centers around young students who are known as 'fluxors' and who have the ability to 'flux' or shape-shift into animals. The main character, Nory, played by Izabela Rose, learns that she is a UDM fluxor and can change into several animals at once. Her best friend, Reina, played by Siena Agudong, is also at the school for magical studies because of her ability to manipulate flowers.

Upside-Down Magic was originally a Scholastic children's book series written by Sarah Mlynowski, Lauren Myracle, and Emily Jenkins. Disney gained the rights in 2015 to adapt the series into a movie.

A New Group of Disney Stars

Actress Izabela Rose explains her enjoyment in working with the Disney Channel, and says:

"It's called the Disney Channel family and they're so amazing, so supportive,. They make sure that you're okay at the end of the day, which I love."
Her co-star, Siena Agudong, also talks about the 'family' and she explains her experience:
"It's special to be a part of the family and you know, joining alongside other actors that we grew up watching is just absolutely crazy."

Look out for the premiere of Upside-Down Magic at 8:00 PM on Friday, July 31st on Disney Channel!
