US Weekly Gives Us 'The Dish' On The End Of KUWTK

US Weekly Gives Us 'The Dish' On The End Of KUWTK

We discuss the real reason why the star family called it quits and more.

The Kardashian family just recently announced this past month that their show Keeping Up With the Kardashians will have their final season in 2021. The news came out of nowhere, with fans left wondering why the family decided after 20 entire seasons to call it quits. Advocate Channel host Sonia Isabelle talked to US Weekly correspondent Christina Garibaldi about the latest scoop on the Kardashian drama.

The Scoop On the End of An Era

So, we all know the Kardashians are leaving their own show. But why? Many fans speculated that the family was too busy with their own individual projects to worry about the reality series. Others believe the end comes because of Kim and Kanye's marriage issues. However, Garibaldi said:

"It turns out this really just had to do with money - they wanted more money to share the ins and outs of their lives and they realized they could actually make more of a profit by posting on Instagram and doing things online."

Because the Kardashians have millions of followers on social media, the family makes so much profit off of paid and sponsored posts - it's no wonder they decided to quit the show.

Rumor Speculations of Kris Jenner Joining 'RHOBH'

With the show coming to a sudden end, many fans believed Kris Jenner was leaving KUWTK to join The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

XM Radio's Andy Cohen discussed this rumor on his show, saying he believes Kris Jenner would never go from having complete control (by being executive producer of KUWTK) to absolutely none at all.

Garibaldi told Advocate Channel:

"She is really good friends with Kyle Richards and Lisa Rinna, so it would be a seamless transition and a really good fit, but I don't think it's gonna happen anytime soon."

The Kardashians have close ties with Ryan Seacrest, who created KUWTK, and Garibaldi mentioned that the girls are loyal to Ryan and that they would be open to spinoff possibilities in the future.
