This past April, the news that James Corden would be leaving "The Late Late Show" shocked many. The king of Carpool Karaoke recently opened up to "Extra" about his reason for the departure.

After a fun 8 years for Corden, the difficult decision came down to his family, stating in his interview published Monday that it was "the right time for us."

Corden and his wife, Julia Carey, share three kids together.

"My kids are getting older, their grandparents are getting older, and it perhaps just felt like the right time for us as a family to be freer in our decisions," Corden told Extra.

The British personality added,

“It’s all I ever wanted it to be. I just didn’t want to ever get to a point where I was bored doing it,” He continued, “It was just a feeling of we’ve probably done all we wanted to do.”

In his interview, Corden gave a secret teaser on what A-list guests to expect in his upcoming shows... It looks like it will include President Joe Biden, Ed Sheeran, Vin Diesel and Billie Eilish!
