We're kicking off the new year with all of the new tv shows and movies to check out in 2021!


Amazon Prime Video Kicks Off The New Year

The first is Regina King's directorial debut of One Night in Miami that hits Amazon Prime Video starring Eli George, Aldis Hodge, Leslie Odom Jr. and Kingsley Ben-Adir available on January 15. Also, two of our favorite Avengers, Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) return not on the big screen, but in the new series WandaVision available on Disney+ with new episodes every Friday.

January is the launch of the new streaming service Discovery+ which includes a first look at Chip and Joanna Gaines's new Magnolia Network. Late night host Trevor Noah will be hosting the 63rd annual Grammy awards on January 31 on CBS and Beyonce leads with nine nominations. Other artists such as Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa and Roddy Ricch have six nominations. The Weeknd was snubbed, but he will kick off February performing at the halftime show during the super bowl on the 7th.

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will return to host the Golden Globe awards that have been delayed due to the pandemic and are scheduled to happen on February 28.

The King Has Returned To Queens

March promises audiences the long-awaited sequel of Coming 2 America starring the legendary comedian Eddie Murphy and features the return of previous stars like Arsenio Hall, Shari Headley, Paul Bates, John Amos, and James Earl Jones. The new film will be available on Prime Video on March 5. Over on HBO Max and will also hit theaters is The Many Saints of Newark. It's the prequel to the iconic mob drama The Sopranos set to drop on March 12.

Also, there will be more Marvel action when Falcon and Winter Soldier begins streaming March 19 on Disney+. The series includes the stars Captain America who fought along side with Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie.


No Longer The Wait (Hopefully)

James Bond fans are hoping No Time To Die will finally will be released after the COVID-19 pandemic which caused the film's release to be rescheduled. The new film is set to hit theaters April 2 which features pop singer Billie Eilish singing the new Bond theme song for the film.

On April 21, the UK will mark Queen Elizabeth's 95th birthday only to be topped by her husband Prince Philip who will celebrate his 100th birthday.

Husband and wife duo, John Krasinski and Emily Blunt also hope that the second time is a charm as they try again to premiere their sequel A Quiet Place 2 on April 23. Two days later the Oscars are scheduled to happen on April 25.

In May watch for the long delayed Marvel film Black Widow starring Scarlett Johansson, Florence Pugh, Rachel Weisz, and David Harbour set to hit theaters May 7. Meanwhile, May 30 is the date Broadway has hopes to reopen after being closed for more than a year. If all goes as planned the world can finally celebrate together in Tokyo when the postponed summer Olympics are set to start on July 23.
