Academy of Country Music Awards to Livestream on Amazon in 2022

In 2022, the 57th Academy of Country Music Awards will be streamed exclusively on Amazon Prime, Amazon announced Thursday.

The 57th ACM Awards will be produced by MRC's Dick Clark productions, a production company that is a part of MRC Live and Alternative, which happens to be the world's largest producer of live-event entertainment broadcasts.

The collaboration between ACM and Amazon is a historic milestone, because it is the first ever major awards show to be exclusively streamed, evolving the role of innovative technology regarding the future of awards shows. It is also helping current artists meet the modern day fan's rapidly growing demands for vast and immediate content consumption, enabling them to reach wider audiences.

"This partnership, which reinforces our position as an innovative, progressive awards show, will deliver the broadest possible audience and, simultaneously, deliver massive value to our artists whose music lives inside this ecosystem, enabling fans to discover and stream music as they watch," said Damon Whiteside, CEO of the Academy of Country Music.

The Academy of Country Music Awards is the longest running country music awards show, and had been aired on CBS since 1998. The artists and performances for the 2022 livestream have yet to be announced.
