X-Men star Anna Paquin recalls her time spent with Hugh Jackman on the set of the films, including his ultra-physical role as The Wolverine, and shares the importance she feels in coming out as bisexual to be her true self.

The Academy-Award winning actress joined SiriusXM's The Jess Cagle Show to promote the new season of her Amazon comedy-drama series, Flack, in which the actress plays an American PR executive living in London.

While on air, Paquin recalled her early 2000s role as Rogue in the action-adventure movie X-Men that kick-started the comic book adaptation phenomenon, and her friendship with co-star Hugh Jackman.

In her interview on the show, Paquin stated:

"Hugh [Jackman] was definitely my best friend. We spent so much time together in the first one, and he is still a lovely, gracious human being. But he got put through the wringer on that one, and never, ever complained."

Paquin praises Jackman's dedication to his Wolverine character, and how he still managed to be extremely kind to her, despite their age gap on set.

Paquin even remembered helping Jackman with his cigars when Wolverine's claws from his costume were out. The actress joked:

"For that truck [scene] in the beginning, I did have to pick his cigar out of his teeth. What are friends for?"

In her continued interview on SiriusXM's The Jess Cagle Show, Paquin then spoke of her decision to come out as bisexual in order to help start conversations and inspire positivity:

"I felt like it was being my authentic self...It had the potential to open doors for conversations that might be harder for [some] people, and it just felt organic."
