The event, which celebrates the best of black excellence, is also celebrating its 20th anniversary. BET still going forward with the award show on June 28th despite social distancing. And for the first time, it will also be broadcast on CBS.

This year's nominees include Drake, who is up for a leading 6 awards. Other big names getting nods: Megan Thee Stallion, Roddy Rich, Beyonce', Nicki Minaj and Lizzo,

Amanda Seales will host the show. Erica Ash and Terrence J will host the countdown show. Performers will include: Jennifer Hudson, Nas, Public Enemy, Questlove and John Legend.

BET also announcing: "The world endured incredible losses this year including NBA Legend Kobe Bryant and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Little Richard. In memoriam of those great losses, Grammy Award-winning global icon and superstar Lil Wayne will give tribute to Kobe Bryant, and the multi-talented Wayne Brady will honor Little Richard.

BET Network also announces Beyoncé Knowles-Carter will be honored with the prestigious Humanitarian Award at the 20th Annual "BET Awards."

Teddi Mellencamp


Teddi Mellencamp will reportedly not be appearing on upcoming seasons of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Beginning with season 8, Mellencamp has been a regular member of the RHOBH cast. The finale of season 10 recently aired, leaving fans waiting for filming to begin again. According to an exclusive source with, Mellencamp will not be returning.

The anonymous source, who was listed as a "production insider," told Daily Mail that the RHOBH producers found Teddi Mellencamp to be "boring and stale." They also noted that the other cast members do not particularly like her.

The insider said:

"She is boring and stale and does not offer anything to the franchise with her robotic and staged delivery when interacting with the other cast members."

Mellencamp was reportedly almost cut last season but the producers decided to give her a second chance. At this point in time, the decision seems final.

Bravo has yet to comment about the casting decision.
