What happened when Caitlyn Jenner met her daughter Kim Kardashian's boyfriend Pete Davidson for the first time:

Caitlyn Jenner has met Pete Davidson, only it didn't go exactly as planned.

The former pro-athlete confirmed that she met her daughter Kim's newest boyfriend a few days ago, and that she had a big flub during their encounter. She shared,

"I was in trouble because I called him Peter. Kim starts laughing, 'It's not Peter, it's Pete. I don't know, I'm just trying to be polite."

Despite the awkward start, Jenner said Davidson "seemed like a really nice guy," and was impressed by him for another reason.

"The best part, honestly, is Kim seemed so happy. That's my number one concern."

Kardashian and Davidson have been together since November, often finding themselves in the media for the ongoing feud driven by the model's ex-husband, Kanye West, who Jenner says she's quite friendly with.

"I really like Kanye. Every time we've been together, he's been absolutely great. We're good friends."

However, with his recent online attacks against the family, Jenner said she has to be cautious, as her daughter comes first.

"I just have to be a little careful because he's said some things, especially towards the family that obviously I'm on the family's side. I wish him nothing but the best and I'd love to see him again."

Back in February, Jenner hinted she'd be meeting Kardashian's boyfriend soon, again emphasizing her daughter's happiness.

"She does seem very happy. I've talked a little bit about it with my family. I have to be very quiet."

As for Davidson, Kardashian was always sure Davidson and Jenner would hit it off.

"But I was talking to her the other day and I said, 'You know, I haven't even met him yet. He hasn't been at any function that I've been at.' And she goes, 'Oh my god, you'll love him. We have to go to dinner.'"
