Nelly's Paso Doble

Rapper Nelly's sleeveless shirt and dance moves triggered major excitement from the judging panel as he opened up the night in an epic way. His Paso Doble to "All I Do Is Win" with partner Daniella Karagach left Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, and Bruno Tonioli decently impressed.

Chrishrell Strause's Foxtrot

In Chrishell Strause's promo video, she revealed that she was freezing her eggs and taking hormone shots after her failed marriage with This is Us star Justin Hartley. However, this week, she bounced back and delivered a wonderful dance rendition to Harry Styles' "Adore You" that left the judges impressed.

Monica Aldama's Samba

Monica Aldama's had an amazing samba performance with partner Val Chmerkovskiy to Miley Cyrus' hit "Party in the U.S.A." Inaba stated, "The chemistry between you, you were formidable partners. It made the dancing so much better." The stars had issues in previous weeks with Aldama critiquing Chmerkovskiy's coaching as a cheerleading coach herself.

Anne Heche's Paso Doble

Actress Anne Heche danced to Katy Perry's 'Rise' with partner Keo Motsepe after revealing the gay-shaming she faced for dating Ellen DeGeneres. She got fired from her multimillion dollar deal with Fox and did not appear in any studio picture for over ten years. Derek Hough commended her resilience, stating, "When you rise above the storm, you will always find sunshine."

Nev Schulman's Rumba

Catfish's Nev Schulman and partner Jenna Johnson delivered a beautiful rumba to a Celine Deon's classic. Inaba gave positive feedback on their dancing, stating, "It felt like a romantic dream set to music. You are so in tune, you two...the rumba is the woman's dance, and it's all about giving good frame. You gave good frame, but added poetry to it." The judge also told viewers to watch out for Schulman in the coming weeks as a potential dark horse of the competition.

Justina Machado's Salsa

Justina Machado's fiery salsa left the judges extremely impressed by her sassy and charismatic dance. Her contagious smile transcended across the ballroom as the judges were extremely enthusiastic. Tonioli exclaimed, "Those hips don't lie. They scream, 'Look at me, I'm fabulous.'"

Kaitlyn Bristowe's Viennese Waltz

Bachelorette star Kaitlyn Bristowe eloquently danced to Luke Combs' "Beautiful Crazy" with Inaba giving her first nine the season. The star bounced back in heels after suffering an ankle injury in her past weeks.

Johnny Weir's Jive

American figure skater Johnny Weir and his partner Britt Stewart danced the Jive to “Crocodile Rock" by Elton John. The pumped-up dance moves excited the judges who gave him some solid scores of the evening.

Jeannie Mai's Tango

The Real co-host Jeannie Mai danced the tango to The White Stripes' "Second Nation Army." She revealed that her mother is betting against her in which star will take home the mirrorball trophy. She dedicated her dance to partner and rapper Jeezy.

Vernon Davis's Rumba

Football tight-end Vernon Davis performed with major hip action that caught the attention of the judges. His dance to "Let's Stay Together" with partner Peta Murgatroyd left the judges impressed. Tonioli commented, "You move better every week. You have natural charm and charisma"

Jesse Metcalfe's Cha Cha

Actor Jesse Metcalfe missed the mark in his Cha Cha dance as the judges felt as though he was not fully confident in his dance moves. Inaba stated, "You almost got the timing, but you forgot the hips!" "Your musicality is improved but I want to see what we see in these packages, this easiness." They encouraged him to keep pushing himself until he can dance with ease.

Skai Jackson's Foxtrot

Skai Jackson delivered the highlight performance of the night after an emotional tribute to her late Jessie co-star Cameron Boyce who passed away in 2019 from epilepsy. The star's partner, Alan Bernsten, was left teary-eyed as well as Inaba who "was blown away by that. I'm sure Cameron is watching and is so proud of you. It was sheer perfection." Derek Hough called it his "absolute favorite dance of the night. You are a gorgeous ballroom dancer."

Score: 28/30

The star also posted a compilation of photos with Boyce that left touched the hearts of many fans.

AJ McLean’s Cha Cha – Dancing with the Stars

AJ McLean closed the night dancing to his own Backstreet Boys track "Larger Than Life." Inaba stated, "What a great way to end the night!" The energetic performance was one of the many major highlights of the evening.

The Confusing Elimination

The end of the evening left many viewers puzzled as Monica Aldama and Anne Heche were in the bottom two. However, host Tyra Banks called Monica and Val's name as being safe. This left the entire audience confused as they were called back to the stage to face the judges. Despite this chaotic moment, the judges unanimously voted to send home Anne Heche and Keo Motsepe.

Tune it next Monday to watch the stars return to the ballroom at 8/7c on ABC.
