Getting Ready For MTV's Big Show

We've seen the virtual Daytime Emmys and virtual political conventions. But, we haven't yet seen a virtual special from MTV. That will change this Sunday when the network brings us a pandemic-style celebration of their Video Music Awards. Here's what to expect...

Top Nominees

It could be raining trophies for Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande. The dynamic duo are up for the most awards this year with nine nominations each.

Billie's Future

And the future looks bright for Billie Eilish. She and The Weeknd are both tied for 6 nods a piece. They're nominated for Video of the Year along with Taylor Swift, Eminem, Future and Drake.

Other than who wins, the big question is; what will the show look like?

MTV forced to scrap their plans for an indoor event at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn after concerns from health officials.

Now, producers saying artists will sing outdoors at various locations around New York City.

BTS Performing Dynamite

Among this year's performers: BTS, debuting their new single Dynamite.

Keke Palmer is Hosting

Actress, talk show host and musician Keke Palmer will be this year's host.

You can watch all the winners and performers, Sunday August 30th on MTV.
