"Full Frontal Wants to Take Your Guns" hopes to debunks the myths surrounding gun control and advocate for a nation free of gun violence.

"Full Frontal Wants to Take Your Guns"

Full Frontal with Samantha Bee (2016-) has always made it a point to discuss gun control and pay tribute to the lives loss due to careless acts of hatred. In Samantha Bee's new special "Full Frontal Wants to Take Your Guns" the host hopes to debunk the myth that there's nothing us citizens can do to control gun violence.

In the new special, Bee will explore how we got to this place of gun violence being the norm and what we can do to better our nation.

The 2021 Statistics

The Washington Post defines a mass shooting as,

"shootings with four or more people killed, but does not include robberies or domestic shootings in private homes"

According to the New York Times, there have been 147 mass shooting as of April 16 of this year. 2020 saw 600 mass shootings with the year before seeing 417. This is an obvious issue in our country with numerous human lives being lost to these horrific acts and Samantha Bee hopes to do something about it.

Samantha Bee's Strong Stance on the Issue

Samantha Bee wants to make it very clear: gun reform is the way to go. Bee states,

"The fact that 316 people are victims of gun violence in the United States every single day makes me want to Zoom call every politician in this country and just scream at them."

Choosing to not fight fire with fire, Bee aims to educate the American people in her new special stating,

"the polite Canadian in me won't actually allow me to raise my voice, so we're doing the comedy special equivalent of that instead."

Full Frontal with Samantha Bee's special "Full Frontal Wants to Take Your Guns" premieres Wednesday May 12 at 10:40 p.m. on TBS.
