Netflix unveiled the trailer for the final episodes of their hit show, "Grace and Frankie."
"Grace and Frankie" is Netflix's longest running original series, with ninety-four episodes under its belt. Its production was delayed during the pandemic, leading to a hiatus between season six and season seven.
When the seventh and final season finally premiered in August 2021, only the first four episodes were released as a teaser. The remaining twelve episodes premiere April 29, and promise to send these two unlikely friends off in style.
"Grace and Frankie" follows Grace (Jane Fonda) and Frankie (Lily Tomlin), two divorcées whose husbands left them to marry each other, as they navigate senior life after divorce, and their strange but heartwarming friendship.
The show also stars Baron Vaughn (Nwabudike), Ethan Embry (Coyote), Brooklyn Decker (Mallory), June Diane Raphael (Brianna), Peter Cambor (Barry), Lindsey Kraft (Allison), Marsha Mason (Arlene), Tim Bagley (Peter), Peter Gallagher (Nick) and Christine Woods (Jessica).
In the most recent four episodes that dropped in August 2021, Nick was released from prison and placed on house arrest, to the dismay of Grace, who wanted him to spend more time behind bars. Meanwhile, Sol and Robert's house was broken into, and Coyote decided to sell a prized possession of his in order to buy a home.
The trailer for the final season celebrates the legacy of the show, and promises to go out with a bang. Frankie states that she needs “a triumphant ending,” before teasers of vibrator talk, Martin Sheen partying, nude pictures getting leaked, and even an assassination plot. As Grace says to Frankie in the trailer,
“It was a crazy ride, but I’d rather take a crazy ride with you than a normal ride with anybody else.”
The final twelve episodes from season seven of "Grace and Frankie" premiere exclusively on Netflix April 29.
