We hit the red carpet to get an early look at The Wife -- a movie starring Glenn Close, Jonathan Pryce, and Christian Slater that is sure to get Oscar attention.

Glenn Close in The Wife

Based on a book written over 14 years ago, The Wife feels like the perfect movie for 2018. It's a tale of self discovery and female empowerment that celebrates womanhood.

As a Hollywood icon who somehow has not yet won an Oscar, Glenn Close is already getting attention for this timely film.

We also spoke with Christian Slater about another Oscar contender starring his Mr. Robot co-star, Rami Malek. We can't wait to see the Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, but Slater has already peeked at unreleased footage.

Even though Game of Thrones is off-air until 2019, there's no escaping the epic HBO series. Jonathan Pryce talks about being recognized for his role as the High Sparrow -- even in China.

Beyond the red carpet, you can see these stars in The Wife coming to theaters on August 17th.
