From what would have been Beatles legend John Lennon's 80th birthday to a reunion of The West Wing, here are some of this week's most anticipated events in Hollywood.


John Lennon's 80th Birthday Celebrations

In honor of John Lennon's 80th birthday, Yoko Ono is releasing a vinyl collection called Gimmie Some Truth. The collection features 36 of Lennon's classic songs remixed, also including a CD, Blu-ray, a booklet, a poster, postcards and a bumper sticker, perfect for Lennon's biggest fans.

The celebrations continue, as YouTube will be live-streaming his past concerts on his birthday, October 9th.

Along with that, BBC radio has broadcasted a special documentary with commentary from his sons Sean Ono Lennon and Julian Lennon, including Paul McCartney and Elton John. John Lennon at 80 was broadcasted as a two part special on October 3rd and 4th, but is available now for viewing.

'The West Wing' Is Having A Virtual Reunion With These Political Icons

On October 15th, HBO Max will be live streaming a virtual reunion of the cast of the 1999 drama show, The West Wing. When We All Vote has put together the event and has invited former first lady Michelle Obama and former president Bill Clinton to the script-reading to promote a broad voter turnout for the upcoming presidential election.

So Are The Sanderson Sisters of 'Hocus Pocus'

On the night before Halloween, the three Sanderson Sisters from the 1993 movie Hocus Pocus are getting together for a virtual reunion that fans can be a part of! Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy will all be present in a virtual live stream that fans can buy tickets to as well as a limited edition line of merchandise (including canned wines) with the proceeds going to Midler's own environmental charity, the New York Restoration Project.
