John Mayer

John Mayer took to social media to excite fans with the announcement of his summer album title, Sob Rock. Mayer has kept the song titles of his newest music a secret, revealing only the album name and release date with fans on Instagram and Twitter.

Mayer also hinted at the context of Sob Rock with emoji symbols on his Twitter.

This July release is a treat for long-time fans, who have been re-listening to Mayer's last record, The Search for Everything, which was released back in July 2017.

Mayer has shared his dedication to his fans and thanked them for their patience on his Instagram story:

"Every day you go without my new music is another day I can work harder to make sure it gets heard by as many people as might enjoy it. I hope you'll think it's worth the wait."

While sharing that he is excited for this music to reach audiences old and new, Mayer has also been keeping busy.

Recently, the singer-songwriter has become a TikTok sensation, garnering 1.2 million followers and 9.6 million likes. His minute-long videos include inspiration for playing guitar, as well as comedy skits and teases for his new music.
