JoJo Siwa Shares Her Sparkle In New Movie 'The J Team'

JoJo Siwa Shares Her Sparkle In New Movie 'The J Team' | Celebrity Page

JoJo Siwa is lighting up the stage in the new Nickelodeon original movie, The J Team.

JoJo with the bow-bow has come along way from her Dance Momsroots.

For starters, JoJo was named one of the 100 most influential people in the world in Time magazine. Now, the triple threat is set to star in her very own movie.

"So this is my first musical movie which I am so excited about. I think ever since I was little, I mean I have always wanted to do this. It's such a fun thing that now that it's finally like my fun thing makes me so happy and so excited about it," Siwa said.

The 18-year-old influencer made headlines last year after coming out as a member of the LGBTQ+ community and encouraging fans to live their truth. JoJo's co-star, Kiara T. Romero, had nothing but nice things to say about the star.

"In the movie, we're best friends and we did become really good friends over the course of the movie. She's so happy," Romero said.

Tackling the themes of self-expression and confidence, Kerrynton Jones praised the film's message.

"You don't need to turn off your sparkle switch and you're special. All of those qualities that make you unique are so important and you should celebrate them," Jones said.

It is undeniable that Siwa's positive outlook inspired those around her on set.

Although the film is full of life, Tisha Campbell-Martin tries to dampen JoJo's sparkle.

"I have never played a villain before. Not like this. So, I was teasing JoJo, I was like 'JoJo... people are going to hate my guts when they see how I treat you and the kids!' But it was so much fun."

Campbell-Martin is best known for her role as Gina on the hit sitcom Martin which couldn't be more different from her antagonistic role in the upcoming movie.

JoJo is not only starring in her very own movie, but she is also making history as the first same sex couple to appear on Dancing With The Starsfor its 30th season. The new season kicks off on ABC September 20, 2021.

For now, catch JoJo in The J Team streaming now on Paramount+.
