Soprano's Actor Joseph Siravo Dead At 64

Joseph Siravo

Joseph Siravo, known for playing Tony Soprano's father in Sopranos, has sadly passed away at the age of 64 after battling with colon cancer.

Siravo was a talented actor that performed both on stage and on tv. He acted in Tony awarded plays on Broadway such as The Light In The Piazza, Oslo and Boys From Syracuse.

Recently, he'd landed supporting roles for Amazon's The Report and ABC's series For Life. But other remarkable tv roles include New Amsterdam, Law & Order, Blue Bloods and The Blacklist. But perhaps the one he's most known for is Tony Soprano's father in HBO's Sopranos, a character he played throughout six seasons.

His co-star Michael Imperioli shared an heartfelt Instagram post remembering his friend and colleague:

"In my opinion he was the best of all the actors who've played the Teflon Don. Farewell Joe. Until the next life my friend."

Actress Maureen Van Zandt also shared a post on Twitter, describing Siravo as a "talented and lovely man."

We're close to Siravo's family in this moment of grief. He'll be greatly missed.
