Ryan Murphy took to social media announcing the release date for his new film The Prom based on the 2018 Broadway musical!

Murphy revealed a new poster and the release date for the film set for Friday, December 11. Take a look!

The Announcement

The neon light poster features the A-list cast starring Nicole Kidman, Meryl Streep, Kerry Washington, James Corden, Andrew Rannells, Mary Kay Place, Kevin Chamberlin, Keegan-Michael Key, Tracey Ullman and Jo Ellen Pellman. The film is adapted from the musical following Broadway stars who reinvigorate their careers with a public relations stunt helping a small town high school girl take her girlfriend to the senior prom.

This film comes to light as Netflix is set to release Murphy's latest project Ratched starring American Horror Story star Sarah Paulson. Also at the end of the month, Netflix will release another project produced by Murphy - The Boys in the Band directed by Joe Mantello on September 30.
