Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are helping the people affected by the winter storm in that has burdened over Texas. Sunday, they made a donation to a women shelter as a surprise.

The Genesis Women's Shelter and Support in Dallas, TX, made the announcement that the two have made a donation to the shelter through their charitable foundation Archewell.

The women shelter is an organization that supports families and women who are victims of domestic violence who are trying to get to a better and safe life.

The organization revealed on twitter The Duke and Duches of Sussex are replacing the roof of the shelters housing facility and help with other important needs.

The tweet stated, "Today, the news of our damages reached Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex!" the shelter wrote on Twitter. "Through their nonprofit, they are supporting us by replacing the roof at our transitional housing facility & helping us meet our immediate needs. THANK YOU, ARCHEWELL FOUNDATION!"

Genesis CEO Jan Langbein that she donations given cannot be disclosed, but enough to make a huge difference. "The gift from Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, is literally going to put a roof back over the heads of the moms and children of Genesis," Langbein said in an interview with The Dallas Morning News. "The thought of the literal meaning of that, and then the figurative meaning of that — that they care enough to put a roof over the heads of people who have none — just warms my heart."

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stated last week that they will not return as members of the royal family, but their efforts for helping people in their name never goes unnoticed!
