Biggie: I Got a Story to Tell | Official Trailer | Netflix

Netflix has just released the next in a long line of juicy documentaries to grace the platform in the last few years, this time focusing on the life of Christopher Wallace, AKA The Notorious B.I.G.

Sean Combs, AKA Diddy, who was a close friend of Biggie's prior to his untimely death, was one of the executive producers on this project. Diddy, in addition to other friends and family, contribute to the project to give us a side of the legend the world has never known.

Biggie will always be remembered for changing hip hop forever, especially with his album Ready to Die, generally considered one of the greatest rap albums of all time. There's also of course the infamous rivalry with former friend Tupac Shakur, and the infamous unsolved murders of both of them, which have resonated on the American palate since they occurred.

But not much of the rapper's actual life is known. All we really hear about is crime, whether it's the feud between East and West Coast hip-hop that more than likely ended up ending the rapper's life, his past as a drug dealer, the speculation he shot Tupac, but we know very little of who Biggie was. But it seems Netflix is ready to put a fresh spin on the man behind the mic.
