The world is watching the state of Nevada as the results from the election are added up. From actors to Youtubers, Nevada has produced some of the most entertaining individuals in the entertainment industry.

Matthew Gray Gubler

Matthew Gray Gubler is famously known for his role as Dr. Spencer Reid in Criminal Minds (2005-2020). Gubler was born in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 9, 1980 and grew up in Las Vegas.

Gubler is a high school graduate of Las Vegas Academy of the Arts. Gubler went on to attend New York University's Tisch School of the Arts with a major in film directing.

Gubler's breakout role was as Spencer in Criminal Minds and is also known for his roles as Paul in 500 Days of Summer (2009) and Simon in Alvin and the Chipmunks (2007).

Tana Mongeau

Tana Mongeau is a widely known Youtuber with a following of 5.6 million on Instagram and 5.45 million subscribers. Tana was born in Las Vegas, Nevada on June 24, 1998 and grew up in Las Vegas and Henderson.

Tana is a high school graduate of Green Valley High School and began her Youtube channel in 2015. Tana rapidly rose to fame due to her crazy story times and unapologetic personality.

Tana had her own show on MTV's Tana Turns 21 (2019-2020) and her song 'Hefner' featuring ex-girlfriend, Bella Thorne, has more than 18 million views on Youtube.

Madchen Amick

Madchen Amick, known for her role as Alice Cooper in Riverdale (2017-present), was born in Sparks, Nevada on December 12, 1970 and grew up in Reno.

Amick attended Robert McQueen High School and moved to Los Angeles in 1987, at the age of 16, to pursue a career in acting.

Amick's breakout role was as Shelly Johnson in Twin Peaks (1990-1991) and is also known for her roles as Lena in Dream Lover (1994) and Mrs. Ellison in American Horror Story (2011-present).

Jena Malone

Jena Malone is widely known for role as Johanna Mason in The Hunger Games saga (2013-2015). Malone was born in Sparks, Nevada on November 21, 1984 and grew up in Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and New York City.

Malone was home-schooled from sixth to eight grade and attended the Professional Children's School in New York City in ninth grade.

Malone began professionally acting at the age of 12 and is most known for her role in The Hunger Games. Malone is also known for her roles as Young Ellie in Contact (1997) and Ruby in The Neon Demon (2016)


RiceGum is known for his Youtube channel with a following of 10.5 million subscribers. RiceGum's birth name is Bryan Quang Le. He was born in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 19, 1996 and grew up in Las Vegas.

RiceGum attended high school at Sierra Vista High School and began his Youtube channel in 2012. RiceGum began as a gaming channel and soon gained attention with his series, 'These Kids Must Be Stopped' in 2015.

RiceGum's most famous videos are his diss tracks on other Youtubers, such as the song 'God Church.' RiceGum and fellow Youtuber, Alissa Violet, became the first Youtubers to go platinum with their song 'It's EveryNight Sis,' a diss on Violet's ex Jake Paul.

Peyton Meyer

Peyton Meyer is known for his role as Lucas Friar in Girl Meets World (2014-2017). Meyer was born in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 24, 1998 and grew up in Las Vegas.

Meyer debuted in Disney Channel's Dog with A Blog (2012-2015) and shortly after landed a main role Girl Meets World. Meyer is also known for his role as Trip Windsor in American Housewife (2016-present).

Meaghan Martin

Meaghan Martin is infamously known for her role as Tess in the Camp Rock films (2008-2010). Martin was born in Fallon, Nevada on February 17, 1992 and grew up in Las Vegas.

Martin graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) in 2016, but has been acting her whole life.

Martin has an endless list of film and television appearances, most known for her roles as Jo Mitchell in Mean Girls 2 (2011) and Jessica in Until Dawn (2015).

While we await the results of these last couple of states, we have to remember to keep our mental and emotional health as best as we can.

As a nation, many are stressed over the tight race election and it's important to remember that we need one another more than ever.
