What To Watch If You're A Fan Of Hulu's 'PEN15'

What To Watch If You're A Fan Of Hulu's 'PEN15' | Celebrity Page

The Emmy-nominated series, PEN15, has just premiered seven new episodes to complete its second season on Hulu. Once you've finished binging, Ranker.com and the Watchworthy app have compiled a list of other shows you'd like too.

PEN15 is a cringe comedy series sharing the totally awkward coming of age stories from the creators and stars of the show, Maya Erskine and Anna Konkle. Although both Erskine and Konkle were both 31 during the beginning of the series' first season, the two play as the young middle school versions of themselves. Reverting back to their time as social outcasts during the 2000's era, the two relive some of their most uncomfortable, yet surely hilarious learning experiences.

Season One of the series gained traction and notoriety for its genius comedy, however production for Season Two's episodes were halted due to the Covid-19n Pandemic. With the pandemic slowing down, production was put back on and fans can now relish in even more of the cringe fest.

We teamed up with Ranker.com to bring you more binge-worthy show suggestions that PEN15 fans are statistically more likely to enjoy.

First up from Ranker's suggestions is another quirky comedy series called What We Do in the Shadows, which was created by Jermaine Clement who also created Flight of the Conchords. What We Do in the Shadows is a mockumentary featuring a group of Staten Island vampires who aim to take over all of North America. The show has been critically acclaimed for its comical writing and absolutely entertaining cast.

The show has three seasons out, which are all available to stream on Hulu.

Next up from Ranker's recommendations is The Other Two, another comedy that showcases the struggles of hitting it big in the entertainment industry. The Other Two perfectly encapsulates the millennial reality, following the lives of siblings having to cope with the unexpected fame of their younger brother and mother. The relatability of the series delivers its comedic value, making it a show anyone of any age would adore.

The series is available to stream on HBO Max, with its second season recently premiering this past August.

Rounding off Ranker's final suggestion, fans of PEN15 would also love The Righteous Gemstones. This exceptional dark comedy series starring Danny McBride features a family struggling to keep control over a mega Evangelical church. Adam Devine and John Goodman are also highlights of the entertaining cast ensemble, delivering both intensity and humor to our screens.

Only one season of Righteous Gemstones is available to stream on HBO Max and Hulu, but a second season is premiering during January 2022.
