Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi have been married for 12 years, and De Rossi is standing by her wife's side as The Ellen DeGeneres Show is being investigated by WarnerMedia. Numerous former employees have come forward regarding workplace environment issues.

Buzzfeed published an article recalling accounts of former and current staff on The Ellen DeGeneres Show who claimed that it was a "toxic work environment". According to E News, executive producers Ed Glavin, Mary Connelly, Andy Lassner have vowed to take the claims "very seriously" and DeGeneres herself has said that she is "disappointed" that the workplace became an environment without respect and that it is the "opposite of what I believed and hoped".

Portia De Rossi simply wrote in an IG post "To all our fans... we see you. Thank you for your support."
