Priyanka Chopra Calls Out Rosie O'Donnell Following Public Apology

The two actresses met for the first time in what they both consider an awkward encounter.

Priyanka Chopra and Rosie O'Donnell had an awkward encounter at Nobu recently, and it looks like things are still awkward.

O'Donnell shared on TikTok earlier this week that when she met Chopra and her husband, Nick Jonas for the first time, she made a mistake that she was "so embarrassed" over.

The former talk show host said that she told Chopra she knew her dad, under the impression that Chopra's father was the author Deepak Chopra, when in reality her father is Ashok Chopra, who died in 2013.

She then asked her fans via the video if she was "the only one who thought" they were be related. She titled the video referring to Priyanka as "Someone Chopra", saying,

"[She] wasn't rude, it was just awkward. I'm sure she gets sick of that. I'm sure I'm not the only one. I just want to apologize to her and to everyone who thought it was really inappropriate of me. Sorry. Sometimes I f--k up. I did at Nobu."

Chopra apparently did not appreciate the gesture, especially since it wasn't even made public until O'Donnell brought it up herself. She posted her full statement to her Instagram story, saying,

"I have never taken myself so seriously to think everyone would know who I am, or my work for that matter. But if you wanted to make a public apology for a very awkward private encounter, I think probably best to take the time to Google my name before doing it or even try to reach out directly. We ALL deserve to be respected for our unique individuality and not be referred to as 'someone' or 'wife' especially in a sincere apology. If we can learn to respect our differences in an authentic way, the world we raise our children in, will be amazing. As I've said before, not all Chopras are related to the great Deepak, just as not all Smiths are related to the legendary Will Smith."
