Regis Philbin

University of Notre Dame spokesman Dennis Brown has confirmed that alumni Regis Philbin will be laid to rest at university's South Bend campus.

Philbin graduated from Notre Dame in 1953 and was a devoted fan of all the university's sports teams, most notably the football team. Philbin's dedication and support for the university will be honored during the 2020 football season.

Funeral services are set to take place at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart at the campus in South Bend, Indiana and he will be laid to rest at the Cedar Grove Cemetery located on the campus. Philbin was 88 years old when he passed away at home on Friday due to natural causes. A date for the funeral service has not been set.
