Ma Rainey's Black Bottom has been a favorite during this year's award show cycle, so no surprise here that the Viola Davis
movie is once again is grabbing nominations by the handful. Sir Anthony Hopkins and Gary Oldman also receive nominations for their acclaimed performances this year.

The incredibly talented Amy Adams and the ever eclectic Frances McDormand secure nominations for the best female performance this year, with Viola Davis garnering yet another nomination for Ma Rainey's Black Bottom.

While he saw him return to his role as Borat ahead of the 2020 Election, the comedy icon received recognition for his role as Abbie Hoffman in The Trial of Chicago 7. We also see Chadwick pick up yet another nomination for Da 5 Bloods.

Here, we see Borat itself grab a nomination, with Maria Bakalova earning praise for her role as Borat's daughter in the film. Star power dominates this list as well with Glenn Close and Olivia Coleman getting recognition for their roles alongside Sir Anthony Hopkins and Amy Adams.

It seems Mark Ruffalo has had no problem with continuing his success post-Avengers, with a nomination for his dual role as Dominick and Thomas Birdsey in I Know This Much is True. The Netflix smash-hit The Queens Gambit also makes an appearance after its record breaking popularity earlier this year, along with Broadway phenomenon Hamilton, which is making the movie awards circuit after its release on Disney+.

Kerry Washington makes her first appearance for the Hulu smash hit Little Fires Everywhere. Nicole Kidman and Cate Blanchett also grab noms for their performances this year.

Josh O'Connor as Prince Charles – The Crown
Bob Odenkirk as Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman – Better Call Saul
Regé-Jean Page as Simon Basset – Bridgerton

Ozark was the number one show on Netflix in 2020, and Jason Bateman picks up a nomination for his leading role as Marty Byrde. Netflix hits The Crown and Bridgerton also grab noms alongside comedian and Breaking Badicon Bob Odenkirk.
