Celebrities Honor Smokey Robinson & Babyface At Power Of Love Gala In Las Vegas | Celebrity Page

The biggest names in Hollywood paid tribute to two icons, while also giving back.

This year's Power of Love Gala celebrated its monumental 25th year.

The event honored Smokey Robinson and Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds, while raising money money for Keep Memory Alive, an initiative to find cures for brain health.

Bruno Mars, Demi Lovato, Tori Kelly and Jordin Sparks were among the performers and attendees at this year's gala, which took place at Resorts World Las Vegas.

Kicking off the big night... many stars, including Smokey Robinson, hit the red carpet and opened up on the importance of the initiative.

"It's a wonderful thing so I'm very honored to be here. I've had people in my family with Alzheimer's and dementia and those things, and the brain is so delicate. For people to do research and try to do something to combat those things is a wonderful thing," Robinson said.

Along with Robinson, the night's big performers also stopped by to reflect on their careers and praise Smokey Robinson and Babyface as trailblazers in the industry.

"Both of them, they deserve it. They deserve everything that they get," Billy Davis Jr. said.

"They're two amazing talents, their songwriting, the productions that they've done," Marilyn McCoo said.

"I'm just excited to be able to honor them. They have contributed so much to the music we know and love today. Smokey obviously has been around forever and then we have Babyface who literally has written all of the biggest hits that we know and love," Jordin Sparks said.

"Those guys have been around, especially Smokey, he's been around a long, long time and he still sounds the same," Charlie Wilson said.

"Smokey sang on my 'Leap of Faith' record 30 years ago. This is an opportunity to reconnect and just say hi and thank you," Kenny Loggins said.

"Smokey Robinson is like one of the godfathers of our time. He created some of the greatest love songs. It's inevitable for Boyz II Men to be here honoring our uncles," Wanya Morris said.

"The fact that we even know these gentlemen and they know us, is a blessing enough," Shawn Stockman said.
