Fans of Taylor Swift came to her defense after Netflix show Ginny & Georgia made a sexist joke about her in their script, reiterating rhetoric that has swirled around her name for years.
The line in the show reads "What do you care? You go through men faster than Taylor Swift." Taylor gave her piece on the matter on Twitter after hearing about the line. "Hey Ginny & Georgia, 2010 called and it wants its lazy, deeply sexist joke back," she scolded. "Also, @netflix after Miss Americana this outfit doesn't look cute on you 💔 Happy Women's History Month I guess" Miss Americana is the name of Swift's documentary that was released at the beginning of last year on Netflix.

Screenshots of the line went viral on Twitter, as fans, celebrities, and friends of Swift ran to her defense.
Swift's famously elusive boyfriend (and speculated fiancee or husband) Joe Alwyn supported her by liking the tweet. Others on Taylor's side included actress Jameela Jamil, known for her activism and feminism.

Another friend to speak on the matter was rapper and dance Todrick Hall, who quipped "Let's make holding people, writers, networks accountable for treating humans like humans and not allowing them to use someone's personal life as the butt of a joke..."

After all of this Netflix buzz came the hashtag #TaylorSwiftIsLovedParty started trending on Twitter. This is in stark contrast to the #TaylorSwiftIsOverParty hashtag that was created during the scandal that went down between Swift and Kim Kardashian, which aimed (and pretty well succeeded) to cancel her in 2016.

It's no secret that Swift has some fierce supporters that will come to her defense in a heartbeat. The support is often needed as Taylor Swift has been facing misogyny for almost her entire career, once referring to her dating life as her "biggest scandal".
