'The Sims Spark'd' - EA Games

OG Simmers, you won't want to miss this!

The beloved video game The Sims is getting turned into a reality TV competition!

'The Sims Spark'd'

This past Wednesday, a trailer for the new show The Sims Spark'd was released. It was announced that the show will premiere July 17th at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT on TBS. It will also be available to watch on one of Buzzfeed's YouTube channels, Buzzfeed Multiplayer on July 20th at 8:00 a.m.. Hosted by American Idol finalist Rayvon Owen, the show will involve 12 avid Sims players, or Simmers, to compete in timed challenges, testing their creativity in playing The Sims 4. The winner gets to take home a cash prize of $100,000.

The Sims has been around since 2000 and was so successful that several editions and game packs have been released over the years. In recent times, live streams and gameplay videos of The Sims have been popularized around the internet, possibly inspiring this reality competition.
