Why Mary Cosby Skipped 'Real Housewives of Salt Lake City' Reunion

Mary Cosby opens up about her absence from the reunion.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City recently came back together for their second season's reunion---minus one key character.

Mary Cosby was not present on set for the filming of the reunion. She recently took to instagram to explain why.

"The only thing I have to say about the reunion is I didn't go because it was one-sided. Everyone heard one side of what they felt...I mean, they told lies, one side of my story. And I was not going to get on the reunion for a four-part reunion and talk about this guy who has passed."

She seemed to reference Cameron Williams, late friend of Lisa Barlow, who played a big role revolving around Mary and her church. Williams reportedly mortgaged his house in order to be able to give the Cosbys $300,000, before later leaving Mary's church due to "extreme religious trauma".

Cosby's religion has led to her being accused of cultism by her castmates, which she vehemently denies. As Cosby told Harlow in one episode,

"I am not God. I worship the God in me."

Andy Cohen, host of the reunion special, revealed he found her decision to skip "very disappointing". He states on the matter,

"I spoke to her on New Year's Eve, a few hours before I went on the air [for CNN], we had a long talk. It's her story to tell, but I got the sense that she was not finding gratitude in being on the show anymore. This is what I dislike about people not showing up to the reunion: You allow the others to control your narrative as your last gesture. I would much rather hear from her, and the truth of the matter is...she was a big part of the success of this show."

No release date is yet scheduled for the special.
