Britney Spears

It's Britney Spears' birthday, and the singer's definitely stronger than yesterday. This officially marks the first birthday as a free woman after the end of the conservatorship of 13 years.

For the past years, Britney Spears has been under the spotlight for an important fight. One that saw her victorious against the conservatorship that controlled her medical, financial and personal decisions on a daily basis since 2008. But after 13 long years, Spears is finally free and she's thanking the #FreeMovement for it.

After posting several pictures on Instagram of a well deserved rest, Spears shared a picture of pink lips. Looking closely, there are various drawn roses followed by two written words: free woman.

To celebrate her first rebirth birthday, the singer's traveling with her fiancé Sam Asghari, who posted a loving picture of them kissing and smiling.

Asghari captioned the pictures with the following:

"I call you Lioness because I admire your relentless strength, I'm inspired by your beautiful heart, I celebrate your smile that lights up my world. Everyday is your birthday my queen. Happy 1st birthday to my wife."

Spears immediately reposted the same pictures stating that she's been working out and enjoying the possibility of traveling outside the country.

Whether you'll celebrate by listening to Spears' entire discography, delve into the Hulu documentary Controlling Britney Spears, or even watch some of Spears' most iconic live performances, the singer will always be grateful that her fans always had her back.

Happy birthday to one of the most influential and iconic pop stars that is now, after a long time, a free woman.
